When I read about the recent arrest of the infamous “Soulja Girl” (synopsis: she harassed an old lady on Atlanta’s metro train system, and the video got viral. for more info, watch here), I applauded. No really, I applauded all by myself in front of my computer. This was a situation that shows, really, the degradation of our youth. in an age when mass media pipes instant images of chinese earthquake victims and the burmese cyclone disaster into our living rooms and onto our smart phones, it’s ever increasingly popular to be socially conscious, especially as global tragedies and body counts take turns piling up. and while we acknowledge and appreciate the technology, most of us are puzzled as to how to respond. we feel bad in a distant sort of way, or maybe we donate some money to our preferred humanitarian organization

A win in the WV was expected for Clinton and that expectation in conjunction with the pundits' declarations and the steady march of superdelegates to Obama could have triggered a downward trend in her poll numbers. CBC informed Canadians just now on national television (state-owned CBC Newsworld, channel 390 on my dial) that in celebration of the upcoming Mother’s Day on Sunday, we ought to look at what moms would get paid if only they were paid their due for what they apparently agree is their unpaid labors.
